I will be running art classes at the BrevonArt Gallery on Mondays from 21st February 2011.

The session is timed from 10 am – 12 noon. If there is enough demand I will set up other sessions in the evening or late afternoon as needed. Maximum class size – 10.

This class is for people who enjoy drawing, painting and chatting about art.

It is for people who feel ready to take a ‘next step’ with a new technique, subject or material.

It is also for people who are up for a gentle challenge with occasional sessions trying out printmaking or 3D work.

Drawing with pencil and charcoal and painting with watercolours, acrylics and/or oils will form the core of the course.

In each session there will be a time for teaching skills and techniques, ideas to be discussed and time for people to follow their own interests.

The class takes place in the gallery rooms with direct access to many styles of original artwork and a good collection of art books for reference and inspiration.

£10 per 2 hour session

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Terry Chipp is a professional artist based in Doncaster who has been exhibiting and selling his work for over 40 years at home and abroad. Examples of his work can be found at www.terrychipp.co.uk, on the walls of the BrevonArt Gallery and by visiting his studio on the top floor.

He is also a very experienced teacher with 40 years involvement in art education including schools, teacher training, workshops and demonstrations. He also holds a First Class Honours BA in Art and an MA in Art Education….

…but most of all he just loves helping others to enjoy art in all its forms.

One-to-one tutoring and mentoring sessions are also available at £10 per half hour.
